This breed is very adaptive. Generally black and white Shih Tzu don’t have much preference for surroundings. As long as it is being shown attention and the weather is moderate.
They are more resistant to cold than heat. This makes them suitable for indoor kennelling, especially in urban settings. They enjoy a little time outside for play, 30 minutes a day is just fine.
Fearless but sometimes lacking caution, they are prone to injuries. Don’t allow your dog to jump off pieces of furniture and heights. Considering its size, these heights can be dangerous.
This breed is heavy on its front legs which means it usually crashes forward. Whenever you carry you black and white Shih Tzu ensure that you’re holding it firmly.
Also, prospective owners should know that the length of their coat hairs shouldn’t be too long. This would cause difficulties in movement and also affect the dog’s sight.
This is common in all Shih Tzu being that their hairs keep growing. Hence, many owners prefer to keep the coat short giving them this curly look.
The white and black Shih gives a whole new meaning to the saying, ”Dog is man’s best friend”. They are perfect pets for first-time owners because of their willingness to please people.
This makes them way more endearing than many other breeds.
