5. Vaccines on time
Being a pet, Shih Tzu requires a lot of vaccinations from the veterinarian to avoid any infection in their body or skin. Since you are a parent to your Shih Tzu, it becomes your important responsibility to take them to the vet and get all the vaccines injected on time.
6. Don’t punish, explain
Do you slap your baby when they do anything wrong? Of course NOT! You try to tell them the difference between wrong and right. Well, the same procedure needs to be followed with Shih Tzu.
If they are doing anything wrong, you need to explain to them their mistake and ask them not to repeat the same. If you try to punish Shih Tzu, they will feel incredibly bad which might affect your relationship with the dog.
7. Don’t leave them alone
Shih Tzu is a playful pet who needs all your attention and love. They always want to play with you, mess with you and seek your attention. So if you are planning to leave your Shih Tzu alone in the house, then you have some serious parenting guidance to take.
If you leave them alone in the house, the terrible and lonely feeling make them cry even more.
8. Make them feel special
As a good parent, you need to show all your love and affection towards them. Always get them to feel special. Always convey how much you love them and how much they mean to you. You can trust Shih Tzu because they will never hurt you or leave you alone because they are not humans, they are dogs!
