Dogs like people can get hot in the summer and they cannot cool themselves easily. You can buy a bed that cools itself with a gel inside it. If your dog is particularly cold in the winter heated beds are available also.
Another type of bed is a kennel dog bed. It is like a small house. Your dog will feel safe and secure inside. Remember your dog is with you for a short time but you are with your dog for his/her life.
