Another essential characteristic that these dogs have is their constant want to get their family’s attention and to please them all the time. Shiranians tend to do adorable tricks and antics to ensure that they capture the attention of everyone around them. These pups are so friendly and gentle that they’d rather lick you than bark, let alone bite.
Although these dogs might seem warm and friendly, they could have a jealous streak. A Shih Tzu-Pomeranian mix pup might tend to feel isolated and left out when you pay more attention to other pets. Nonetheless, when they’re well-socialized with other pets and animals, they get along with them rather easily.
Shiranian Grooming
Shiranians, just like most crossbreeds, usually have a long thick coat which could mean that they require proper grooming more frequently than other breeds. Due to their coat’s length, you would need to do appropriate grooming, so their fur won’t get matte and tangle.
This Shih Tzu-Pomeranian mix has a double coat which could means that you’d have to brush their coat on a daily basis to ensure that it doesn’t tangle. Also, it’s recommended that you bathe your Shiranian pup occasionally to make sure that their coat would remain shiny and clean.
Health Issues
The Shiranian is quite healthy and doesn’t tend to suffer from serious health conditions, compared to its purebred parents. However, the most serious issue that these dogs could have is depression. They tend to feel lonely and depressed every time their owners are away.
