A Shih Tzu puppy’s development & growth is fascinating to watch. At birth, the Shih Tzu puppy’s eyes & ears are closed. their first main mission in life is to find warmth and food. Newborn puppies sleep most of the time, often twitching in their sleep, and move only to reposition the body. around 2 weeks of age, Shih Tzu’s eyes and ears open. Shih Tzu puppies can now see the world!
3 weeks is the ideal time for socialization to begin. She is beginning to crawl around more and try standing and walking. Their legs are still wobbly at this point.
At 4 weeks they are moving around more and sleeping less.
5 weeks of age, they are able to hold their tail upright.
Puppies have reached the toddler stage of puppy development and will become very busy interacting with their littermates.
